Ohio’s personal income rising faster than nation’s… and it’s better than “Workplace Freedom” states!
Ohio’s per capita personal income rose at one of the fastest rates in the nation last year, another sign that the state’s economy is recovering more quickly than most of the country, according to data compiled by Dayton Daily News.
Income continues to benefit from the emergence of the oil and gas sector, experts said.
“It is good news that our per capita income is increasing at all, and it is even better news that it is increasing so fast,” said James Brock, professor of economics at Miami University.
Per capita income in Ohio rose to $39,289 between 2011 and 2012
How does that compare with some “Workplace Freedom” states?
In Mississippi it is more than $6,200 less. In Arizona it’s $3,300 less!
What about some Midwestern states with “Workplace Freedom” law? Ohio’s per capita income is almost $2,400 higher than that of Indiana and $1,800 higher than that of Michigan.
Is this another “advantage” for “Workplace Freedom” adherents to promote?
